Polyurethane Concrete Leveling
Soils, especially those in the Midwest, expand when wet and contract when dry. Concrete slabs, whether it be your driveway, sidewalk, pool deck, patio, or even basement floor, do not bend or adjust with the ever-changing soil conditions. Instead, homeowners are often left with uneven concrete that can not only be ugly and an eye sore, but also a dangerous trip hazard.
Your home is a reflection of who you are. You put a lot of time, effort, and money into creating the ideal home for your family. It is often the largest investment you will make in a lifetime. Utilizing Helitech’s state-of-the-art Polyurethane Concrete Leveling system, your sunken porch, sidewalk, patio, driveway, or pool apron can look good as new – often within less than an hour of work.
Polyurethane vs. Traditional Mudjacking Method
Both methods are a cost effective solution to concrete slab replacement. With the traditional mudjacking process, holes are usually 1 5/8 of an inch, and often require more to be installed. With the state-of-the-art polyurethane concrete leveling process, smaller (only 5/8 of an inch, or dime sized) and fewer holes are required.
After installing port holes in the existing concrete, Helitech injects a Polyurethane material into ports using a special hydraulic system. The Polyurethane material expands to raise the surface of the slab to the desired height. The core holes are then filled with Portland
cement and repaired to produce a smooth, level surface.
