Caseyville, Ill. based Helitech Waterproofing and Foundation Repair recently celebrated their 33rd year in business by providing their 3,300th job of 2020 free of charge.
The recipients were the McKennas of the Webster Groves neighborhood of St. Louis. President and Helitech owner, Jason Courtney, along with Burk Watts, General Manager, surprised Mr. McKenna on the last day of his basement waterproofing project with balloons and a giant check – which helped keep their 6-foot distance, of course.
Mrs. McKenna could not be there as she was at work as an essential healthcare worker. When she got home later that night, her husband told her of the news. Her response:
“$5,000? What the heck?”.
“The giveaway wasn’t something that was advertised or broadcasted beforehand. We wanted it to truly be a surprise and small token of appreciation to our customers who have supported us over the last 33 years,” says Jason Courtney.
“It’s because of guys like you, families like you that keep us going and doing what we’re doing. We’ve been very blessed to heal homes for 33 years and we greatly appreciate you. Hopefully, this will be a blessing to you and your family,” said Jason to Mr. McKenna upon presenting him with the check.
“We hope this giveaway sparks some light and joy in an otherwise dim year, and will certainly kick off the season of giving for us as we look towards the holidays.”
