Meet Jim Yamnitz

Project Specialist

As a project estimator for Helitech, I take great pride in helping customers understand the issues they are having with their home and the different avenues to go about solving their waterproofing or foundation problems.

I was born and raised in Perryville, MO, the 7th of 14 children (10 girls, 4 boys). Growing up with that many siblings turned out to be a blessing in many ways. The lessons learned and values instilled during that time were, and continue to be, invaluable: work hard, be true, respect others, honor the Lord. If you are familiar with the TV series “The Waltons,” that was pretty much us.

As each of my brothers and my two sons, I am an Eagle Scout. I was blessed to have been “schooled” by some great teachers, coaches, Scout leaders and clergy throughout my pre-adult life.

I married my high school sweetheart, Cindy, in 1983. We were blessed with four children, Nathan, Kristen, Luke, and Maria, all of whom continue to enrich my life and make me a proud papa.

I obtained a Business Degree in Computer Science from Southeast Missouri State University in 1980. I obtained an MBA degree from Fontbonne University in 2009.

I began a job as a computer programmer at the Missouri Pacific Railroad in 1980. In 1985 I went to work for General American Life Insurance Company (later merged into MetLife) where I worked mostly as a manager of computer software development for over 17 years. Since then, I have taken several IT contracting jobs, both paid and volunteered.

I very much enjoy volunteering my services to my parish community, Mary Mother of the Church. I have been a Scouter for many years and I also enjoy assisting elderly and inexperienced family members and friends in dealing with their personal business matters. (I hate seeing anyone taken advantage of.)

I am excited to be representing Helitech, a company with a great reputation for its high principles and outstanding products and services.

Financing Options

Helitech offers free financing on most jobs, including no-interest option financing, personal loans, home equity loans, and refinancing. Our financing team will work with you one-on-one to come up with the best possible solution to finance your project. Make sure to ask your project estimator about our financing options as all financing will need to be secured at least 2 weeks before your project start date. Great service. Kevin was great at explaining what needed to be done and following up. Aaron and his crew worked very hard in a particularly difficult job site. Clay soil and bedrock caused all kinds of problems, but they were on phone with supervisors, engineers, etc. to come up with the best solution options. Left job site clean, and finished in allotted time.
