The Helitech Office Staff joined in on the #IceBucketChallenge and challenged the Home Care Specialists team! Helitech will be donating to the ALS Association to raise awareness and help fund further research.
A few facts about ALS:

- ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
- Early symptoms of ALS often include increasing muscle weakness, especially involving the arms and legs, speech, swallowing or breathing.
- ALS can strike anyone.
- Through funding, the ALS Association can provide support for those diagnosed so they can live more functionally with the disease.
- Funding also supports clinical trials and research to develop treatments used to prolong the life of persons affected.
